Reimagining Intelligent Systems with Synthetic Intelligence
We combine biology and computation to forge new paths that go beyond conventional AI.

What We’re Doing Now
At Qognetix, we are developing technologies that go beyond artificial intelligence as it is commonly understood. Current AI systems rely on statistical pattern-matching and vast compute resources, but they lack the reasoning, memory integration, and adaptability of natural intelligence.
Our work focuses on Synthetic Intelligence: biologically inspired, memory-based approaches that capture the dynamics of real neurons and networks.
BioSynapStudio — A New Substrate for Neuromorphic Research
BioSynapStudio is our flagship platform for simulating biologically faithful neurons and networks on conventional hardware. It combines Hodgkin–Huxley-class fidelity with a scalable architecture, offering researchers and developers a practical way to explore neuromorphic principles.
Instead of treating neurons as abstract units, BioSynapStudio models the physics of ion channels, spiking behaviour, and memory dynamics. The result: a new substrate where we can begin to design systems that learn and adapt like natural brains.
Alongside the technology, we are also establishing new standards in testing and validation. Current AI benchmarks measure performance in tokens or tasks that do not capture the dynamics of intelligence. Our approach introduces methods for evaluating synthetic intelligence in ways that reflect fidelity, adaptability, and efficiency — laying the groundwork for a shared scientific language in this emerging field.
Beyond Single Platforms
BioSynapStudio is only the starting point. Our roadmap extends from single-cell fidelity towards scalable cortical substrates, enabling:
Multi-cell and small-network simulations for system-level validation.
Design tools and IDEs that make neuromorphic development accessible.
Cortical-scale substrates that provide a new foundation for synthetic intelligence research.
We’re also exploring how these technologies integrate into wider ecosystems — from scientific research to next-generation applications.
